Since joining the team having designed and published a company web site, company email accounts, new communication and relationship techniques and rapidly increased our company name and reputation and exposure within the Phoenix Valley market. These account creations have gained us the capability of working with some of the largest and most respected Commercial Construction Companies in the world. Becoming certified as a Dust Control company with the Maricopa County Air Quality Department. In the process of becoming certified as a Small Business Enterprise, as well as a complete SWPPP providing company.
2002–2007 Richmond American Homes Phoenix, AZ
Senior Superintendent
Beginning as a Superintendent in Dallas, Texas, quickly promoted to Senior Superintendent. When Richmond American decided to leave Dallas was offered another promotion and relocated to Phoenix, AZ. In Arizona helped build models and managed over the production of several of the company’s newest and largest communities. The ability to manage the production costs, decrease build times through communication with Assistant and Superintendents, while maintaining or reducing budget costs, while closing high percentage of homes with zero defects. Using communication tools, such as weekly update phone calls to homeowners with our Sales Counselors and collecting and updating their information sheets to assist in building a superior product while keeping their anxiety levels at a minimum. Insuring take-offs and budgets were correct and updated, updated house prints with community and city code requirements and constantly inspecting site and paperwork to ensure that the company’s and clients expectations were being met. Awarded Company Recognized Merits for both Customer Satisfaction and Zero Defect Homes. In Texas, this leadership kept community warranty and extra dollar budgets one of the lowest in the company.
1999-2002 Huntington Homes/ Sanders Custom Homes Dallas, TX
Senior Builder
During the time with Sanders Custom Homes division, part of a great and very successful team building in Twin Creeks Golf Course community. Dealing with and gaining proficiency in all aspects of the building process, such as code compliance, city inspector relations, vendor bidding, lot preparation and exit strategies, change orders, upgrade pricing, profit analyses and home pricing. The team worked very closely with the Sales Counselors to increase the profitability of this project and lowered warranty calls substantially in the first year. As a team built and closed over 65 high-end homes per year. Responsible for the training of new builders and Customer Warranty Representatives. During this time with Huntington/Sanders Custom Homes the company won the J.D. Powers 2001 Customer Satisfaction Award.
1995-1999 David Weekley Homes Dallas, TX
Senior Builder
Responsible for home construction in four communities. In charge of starting the new communities, building models, cross-checking budgets, change orders, upgrade and option pricing, curb and community appeal, warranty and keeping sales aware of the status of construction. Weekley Homes provided impressive amounts of training and development techniques that helped to greatly increase experience in the industry. Rewarded with earning the J.D. Powers 2000 Customer Satisfaction Award, which was very fulfilling as a team.
